Virome against Enteropathogens Present in Ganges Water

چکیده
The Ganges is home to a high variety of microorganisms, both beneficial and harmful. Anthropogenic activities cause depletion in microbial communities at urban sites river Ganga. From the ancient period, it believed that purification Water does not possible after long storage so can be used frequently for cooking, drinking, or bathing purposes. About 200 years ago, British colonial scientists suggested Ganga may contain unique life, which makes relatively more resilient putrefaction. That life virome. presence various kinds viruses gives its self-purificatory property.

Post monsoon spatial distribution of uranium in water of Alaknanda and Ganges river
Background: Uranium poses both chemical and radiological hazard to the living system. Drinking water from river is one of the major sources of uranium intake. Dissolution of minerals, washout from rain water, rock-water interaction, agricultural run off, and industrial disposals are some of the sources of uranium in river water system. Present study was aimed to determine the uranium in the wat...

Viruses are dominant entities in the biosphere and parasitize all cellular life forms. The relative abundances of different classes of viruses are dramatically different between prokaryotes and eukaryotes. In marine, soil and animal-associated environments, virus particles consistently outnumber cells by one to two orders of magnitude. It is estimated that 10 quintillion (1030) viral particles ...
متن کاملGarlic derivative propyl propane thiosulfonate is effective against broiler enteropathogens in vivo.
Two experiments were carried out to study the effects of dietary supplementation with the garlic (Allium sativum)-derived product propyl propane thiosulfonate (PTS-O) on the intestinal log(10) number of copies of enteropathogens in broiler chickens, together with their intestinal morphology and growth performance. The additive had no significant effect on feed intake at any dose assayed. In exp...
متن کاملWater fluoridation in Canada: past and present.
Water fluoridation remains a contentious issue in Canada and many communities choose not to fluoridate their water supply. As of 2007, 45.1% of the Canadian population had access to fluoridated water supplies. The main arguments for and against fluoridation have changed very little over the years, with supporters (including the World Health Organization and Health Canada) citing evidence that s...
متن کاملGroundwater flow in the Ganges Delta.
Basu et al. (1) reported that 2 3 10 m/year of groundwater flows directly into the Bay of Bengal, an outflow equivalent to 19% of the discharge from the Ganges-Brahmaputra river system. They showed that this estimate of flow could have important consequences for the interpretation of marine strontium isotope records, because strontium concentrations are higher in Ganges delta groundwater than i...
